This is Yasmeen Serhan. She is apart of the editorial staff at The Atlantic. Her style greatly differs from that of most of the other authors i had read from in The Atlantic's columns. She has a very laid-back and conversational type of diction. Often her articles are pretty short and contain a lot of information. She tend to focus (from what I have read) on continuing stories and stories that are happening abroad. This focus on stories that are complete yet can help explain why most of her articles are as short as they are. Her style is definitely easy to read and feels like you are just having a conversation with a friend about what is happening in the world.
